Good day!

The employees of the Town are busy working on numerous projects for you!
Here is a short update on where things stand...

Community Center - The Parks Department is securing bids to have a new metal roof installed on the Community Center.  As the current roof is original and over 20 years old it is need of replacement.

Lakeside Dr Water Main- construction has begun, please use caution and expect traffic delays.

Oakwood Lift Station - construction has been delayed by approximately 2 weeks to work out some engineering issues.

Our Street Department is currently working on repairing and rehabilitating the decorative streetlights around town.  As there are over 150 in total this project will take most of the year to complete.

The new streetlights have been installed in the Tech Park north of town!

Henry Ward Park
Construction is underway.   This will include new restroom facilities and new pavilion.

Land donation
We are currently working with Ridgestone Development, the company that is converting the old elementary school into apartments, as they have offered to donate just under 2 acres of ground on the S/E corner of the property to the town.

The Town is working with the Turkey Creek Library Board to donate ground on Dolan Drive for the construction of a new library. A second site survey was conducted, and we are waiting for evaluations to be completed.

Municipal Parking Lots
Final designs have been submitted to the town.  The next steps will include seeking funding sources and a possible timeline.

New Construction
A new municipal records storage building is under construction.  This pole barn style building will be located next to the Water Treatment Plant on Conrad Street.
Primary use will be for the storage of municipal records and other items.

Paving work is expected to begin in September.

* Other projects are currently in the planning stages and updates will be forthcoming!
